Is there a convertor or something else I need so i can have surround sound while I watch tv and not just while I watch movies. I have a panasonic surround sound system and Hitachi big screen.

My kid sister wants to download movies and games but am apprehensive since i’ve heard that sometimes its **** in disguise. how do i make sure that what am downloading is what i want?
